This new (not D800E) A7r sensor really has my attention, when a EF to E-mount adapter comes out and say I use my TS-E 24II on it will the adapter degrade IQ.

EF to E-mount adapters already exist. Not sure if they'll work with the full-frame version, but there's no reason they shouldn't - after all, it's the same mount.

The adapter contains no optics, just blank space (to change the flange distance to match that needed for EF lenses) and electronics to support aperture adjustment and AF.

Yeah I've also heard that this camera comes with a brand new sensor. I just hope it has the same fantastic DR-capabilities that the D800 sensor has. (at least!)

It would be weird if it doesn't..

Whatever it has, at least it'll beat the 1Dx/5D3/6D DR-wise, as well as lacking banding and having 70-100% more pixels...

Another price leak! Similar to the one posted before.

A7 BODY $1,698.00
A7 28-70MM KIT $1,998.00
A7R BODY $2,198.00

That is very cheap for a compact high resolution FF body.

Yes it is dirt cheap, but I am a little bit worried about that price. The smallest, lightest 36MP FF camera is priced at $2200? I hope Sony didn't cut too many corners to get there.

I have very high expectations on this camera, and those expectations doesn't rhyme with $2200.

Maybe Sony knows the world economy has gone to hell and that people can't afford hefty price tags these days.

Not needing a mirror, pentaprism/viewfinder and separate AF sensor already cuts a lot of costs.

Sony A7R - a game changer? Sources sharing their thoughts on the camera + low resolution picture of the body.

'Comes packaged with a free Canon, Nikon or Leica adapter'?

A shot squarely aimed at Canon, given that they still have no real response to the Exmor after 5 years...

And a 40MP version in December?

Why does a mirrorless camera need to have a giant hump on top where a prism would normally go? You know, a prism that's required WHEN THE CAMERA HAS A MIRROR!

It contains the EVF.

Hopefully this means a nice, big EVF screen to look at, for those rare occasions where I'm not using a tripod and live view.

A price tag of $2198 it will hurt Nikon too, if true a game changing new 36mp sensor at that price everybody will feel it.

Yes, I know. Why does the EVF have to look like the OVF of an SLR? On an SLR, it's there for a reason. There's absolutely no reason to saddle this camera with the functional baggage of a totally different camera type. The EVF could go anywhere (in the side, for example, which is a vastly preferable location and one which Sony already does on the NEX cameras).
