Almost run these Grouse over before spending some time with them. He had six hen's with him. Being a Spruce Grouse is not so bad!!!

Super shots, Jeff, love that red-accented look on the males especially...have yet to see one here, but they are around.....hmmmm...hav​e to get out and look around :)

Sgt This week coming is going to be the best week, make sure you are on Opeongo road a lot, this is where the most activity has been. There was a large Bull seen down the end of the lake on the right as you start in the road.

Thank's CDMOOSE I really try to get the best detail possible. It's not easy to post beside everyone here including yourself as you guy's have some of the best stuff I've seen.

These are super. Great detail, clarity and exposure and lovely poses by the birds.

Not easy for dark birds in the forest with all the shadows.

Thanks John You are so right, it was very dark with intense bright sun light, slow slow shutter, constant adjustment to not blow out the white's. but great fun

Thank's Don It was a great find, My wife and I spent a good hour with them, deep in the thick stuff. The light was super bright and the shadow's very dark, so you had to pick your spot carefully. Blow out the white's or hi iso. But I had lot's of time lol
