I posted these in the football thread too but I don't know if everybody looks at that or not. His name is Koni Dole and you should take a minute out of your day to watch the video that I am linking to this, its seven minutes, or just google his name and read some about him. He has an incredible and inspirational story!

The world is full of inspirational stories. Why is HIS exceptional? People have even made the Olympics with artificial legs. Pass. ;) Oh, and the fotos ^^^, hmmm 7/10.

You're right, John! My apologies for posting a story that I thought was inspirational and worthy of a look. I don't know why anybody would even care to do a story on him or anything with all of the other inspirational people in the world. An admin should probably just delete this thread so it doesn't waste other people's time, yeah? ;)

Andy,
thanks for sharing the photos and the link to the video. I took the time to watch it. I love these kinds of stories. The world should be more about these things instead of the negative vibe stories.
Don't let peoples negative comments distract you or ruin the feeling that you had to share this with us.
And as far as people giving CC, pointing out mistakes or issues with a photograph is ok. But it should be to make you a better photographer and not try to dismiss what you are doing. Keep it up!

Good story thanks for the link.
Biffbradford you should pay no mind to. He just sounds bitter and his rating of your photo is not the way it should be done. CC is Constructive Criticism, his was just criticism and not worthy of you caring about it.

Really great story Andy. I might not have watched the video originally but after reading the first comment posted on your thread-it became the principle of the thing. Thanks for sharing! It's nice to see a kid in high school that's so mature, even more mature than some adults that hang out in forums. Truly inspirational young man.

FYI: "Fitness Freak" is also known as "Amber" outside of POTN.

I thought this was a photo sharing forum, not a Youtube sharing forum? The photos, eh - 7/10.

Edit: want to talk courage and determination? Diane Odel - polio victim. Restricted to an iron lung for almost 60 years. Athlete? No. Inspirational? YES! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5kNkS9kwDo (external link)

So you slam the guy for posting an inspirational story and linking a YouTube video to it....Then YOU post a inspirational story with a link to a YouTube video...LMFAO! Classic!

The world is also full of horrible photos, why bother putting a link to your Flickr page.

great story... as a parent who has a son with a disability who plays sports alongside kids without disabilities I appreciate these stories no matter where I come across them. He'll love this story.
