One year ago today, I placed my order for my Canon T3i. lenses that came with it are in my signature.
Thinking of moving up to a 6D and saving for a 70-200mm f/2.8 for sports shooting.

I had a 7D and a 17-55. Now I have a 6D and a 24-105 & 40mm. Very pleased with high ISO. I'm. Getting a 135f2 next month. Maybe it's a case of gear acquisition syndrome or just needing the right tool for the job. Fortunately, being semi-poor keeps me in check.

In the past year I went from an XT and thrifty fifty to a T3i with the kit 18-55.

I also picked up a 17-55 f2.8, 70-200 f4 (non-IS), 40mm pancake, and 135mm f2.

I don't see any new acquisitions coming anytime soon, and I'm OK with that... for now :p

March of this year: Gripped T3i, Sigma 17-50/2.8 OS HSM, Tamron 70-300 VC, EF85/1.8, 430EX.

I went on an active vacation in February and T3i with all these lenses was becoming a bit of a hassle, so I picked up a used Sony Nex F3 with a (rather poor) kit lens for travel. After shooting with it for a couple of weeks, I realized I just couldn't bring myself to use the DSLR anymore - even with the kit lens, the good photos were just as good as what I was getting with Canon, and taking the camera with me was fun & easy. So I sold all of my Canon gear, and went into Nex system. I was actually ahead money wise for a while, since many lenses I bought were old MF lenses, and I got great deal on a couple of Sigma primes for Nex.

Then I killed the AF on F3 by a strategically placed water spill, and was forced to buy Nex 6 (the F3 is still perfectly functional, but in manual focus only). Here goes my "profit" ;)

So, now I have : Nex 6, Sony 50/1.8 OSS (the only stabilized prime I've ever had, and I want another !); Sigma 30/2.8; Sigma 19/2.8; LA-EA2 adapter for Sony A-mount to use with Sigma 12-24 that someone gave me as a gift; and a bunch of manual focus lenses in Minolta MD mount - MD 35-70/3.5 Macro, MD 70-210/4, MD 50/1.7, Kiron 28/2.0 and Kiron 80-200/4.5. Plus a MD 2x teleconverter.

I never felt that I was being held back by the size of my DSLR gear, but ever since switching, I take many more photos.

That said, I would be more than happy to contemplate going back to Canon at some point if they produce a small camera with modern sensor and EVF.

Ex-Canon shooter. Now Sony Nex.

Last year: 60D, Sigma 28mm 1.8, Canon 50mm 1.8, 18-55 IS II, 430EX I and cowboy studio triggers

Now: 6D, Canon 50mm 1.8 and 1.4, Sigma 70-200 OS, YN 468 AND 622c triggers, and a few light modifiers.

Went through a Sigma 30mm and 10-20mm before I went full frame.

Crazy how quickly things change but definitely have a set up better suited for what I shoot.

About four months ago I had a 7D, 85mm 1.8, 135SF, Sigma 28-70 2.8, Canon 70-200 /4

Now I have almost all of that loaned out to a friend plus my 5Dmk3, 16-35 mk II, 24-70 mk II, 70-200 mk II, 85mm L, and a 2X mk III. Plus some other random accessory type things. Gotta say, that was a heck of a fun order to place. All of the newer acquisitions, other than the extender, were on the same ticket.
