Maybe its me but these look very soft and short of the pop I get using my Sigma 18-35 f1.8mm ...

All depends on the venue. As a T3 owner I do understand it's limitations. It is not a 7fps camera. The AF is slower than a 7d. Other than that it is a great camera that can handle 3200 as well as any other body twice the price.
