Nature of the promotion. flat 50$ off means everyone is either buying a 50 f/1.8 or a 40 pancake. Since pretty much everyone owns a 50, 33% off a pancake is hard to pass up. Especially seeing how you can easily flip it for at worst, break even.

I got my code today. I received my lens yesterday. I placed my order Saturday. I made my gear list Friday night. The point being, you don't need to wait for the e-mail to be able to use the code. Just put in "GEARLIST" and see if it works.

Thanks for the heads up, Barry- broke down and bought the 40. I don't have anything that the STM will work on, but it looks like a decently sharp little lens.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

I was a little shocked how sharp it is actually.

I found out last night that the code GEARLIST gets you another $50 off. Ordered an 85 1.8.

I'm done for now, I hope.

It doesn't work for me a second time. Want to get the 85 or 60 mm macro next.

Wonder what the code was for those that got a second code?
