Do we know yet what the cars will look like next year ? I was reading in Autoweek that Lucas Luhr has been "morose" even though the team has the championship title locked up, because this class is going away, but I'm unclear (still) on what exactly is taking it's place. I guess we know the Grand Am class cars won't be at Long Beach for example, so what will we see there in terms of road racing cars (besides the GT class cars) ?

PC maybe? Some weekends are GT only.

There was a story last week about Pickett having ordered 2 Delta Wangs. Imagine how Lucas would look if that turned out to be true!

Which I find humorous. They win. Get invite to Le Mans. Don't go. So if you want your P1 so bad but don't go to Le Mans... what is the problem with running a P2 car then?

GT for 2014, and at this point, it can be assumed that HPD has a connection....

Everything I've heard, is a German or British marque will be in his paddock space...

Bentley, Audi, or McLaren...rumour is, it's a new car, but not currently ACO homologated.

Gosh I hope it's a Bentley GT3 spec car... it's fat and in your face but oh so sexy. McLaren would be good as well! There will be enough Audis with teams switching.

I think the mood belongs to Lucas. Think about it... his career is pretty much doomed. He's a great driver... but there's no money in sports cars unless you're a factory shoe. He's not a factory shoe. He's not going to cut it in Indy cars... F1... he's not going to pick up a factory ride in WEC. He's window of opportunity is rapidly closing. IMO.

How much do you think some of those drivers make for endurance gigs like Daytona 24, Sebring races?

And I would think that with Lucas' race profile, underdog privateers would want to pick him up such as Dempsey racing and the likes that will come from the Grand Am.

It is possible. There will be seats needing a good racing body in it.
