Well, I've been doing alot of reading and practicing lately. It's been interesting to say the least and I'm still trying to figure some things out, however out of all of the shots I've taken recently, this is probably by far the best one of the group. Be gentle!

Although it has to be wider if you want to keep that splatter in the frame, personally I'd like to see it cropped a little tighter to get rid of some of that dead space top right.

Makes me want to get out ad play though! I used to be real big into woods stuff, more natural and "tactical" rather than speedball. I'd have to get all of the gear again though, which would be a hefty chunk of change. lol

I'm a woods/scenario guy myself. I was asked by the local team if I would be interested in doing their team shots to not only help me improve, but give them some free pictures. So it's a win win if you will.

Sadly my photoshop has started to act wonky, and it wont open my files anymore. I'd like to edit that picture down a bit myself. You're right that big empty space is annoying.

This is the second one of the set of this player, however I don't think this one is as good. Given that I am limited by the size of my lens (I only have the basic 18-200 zoom) and having to remain outside the area these guys were playing, made for some meh shots.

I would crop 1x1 format and take out some of the dead space on the right as previously mentioned. It is not the sharpest photo, but for the subject matter, it does not necessarily have to be.
