I visited this (first few shots) Bohol church last year. The one with the holy water well. :(

Latest official tally I think is this one:

The iconic hill view deck at Chocolate hills got damaged too
http://newsinfo.inquirer.net …13/10/Chocolate-Hills.jpg (external link)

I think this is the same place... I took this when I went there a few years ago
http://www.monk3y.com/img/s11/v35/p57623394-5.jpg (external link)

I climbed up the steep stairs here too. Liberty Bell has a plaque stating then President Joseph Estrada fixed it on November 1999. All in shambles now. :(

Dan did you hear anything from your family?

Only from the family in Dauis that was at my uncle's funeral. The others are in a more remote area, closer to Dagohoy.

My cousin sent me a video filmed by a local and they happened to catch my family moving my uncle's funeral to the cemetery. You can see the extent of the damage to the Dauis Our Lady of Assumption Church

glad to hear your family are safe marlon. hopefully the govt and private entities will help rebuild the heritage buildings that were damaged.

Minus processing (pork barrel) fees.

Hopefully, the quicker they can rebuild and recover, the quicker the local economy (and hopefully) the local citizens can prosper. Lots of these small provinces/barangays rely on tourism.
