One thing I did notice is the adjustment sliders were no longer colored. They were just white. Did a quick google search and saw that this was fixed in the 5.2 update.

Updated to Mavericks plus all of iWorks and iLife apps without any problem. Also updated iPhone and iPhad to 7.0.3 to support Mavericks. Again, no problems.

This is exactly what I did and I'm very very pleased. I'm liking the new features on Mavericks, and it's good to see they updated peripheral apps as well. All for free!! Way to go Apple. :D

I usually wait a while, I'm tempted to upgrade...

any early adopters care to chime in on the use of:

Lightroom 5
Adobe CS6
Quickbooks 2013

As far as I've seen, it's transparent, that is not noticable difference (don't use Quickbooks)

CCC or SuperDuper let you create a bootable complete copy of your HD, TimeMachine let's you go back in time. Fine if the machine still works, useless if the machine got completely screwed up. I do both, SuperDuper every once in a while and TM all the time.

You can do a complete restore off TimeMachine

Anyone that made the update printing with an Epson? The problem I had last time was with the printer drivers being incompatible with the new OS. Then had to wait for Epson to catchup and write new drivers that would work with the new OS. In the mean time I went back to my old OS so I could print. This time I would like to know before I update. Thanks

I actually have the same printer (Epson 3880), but have not tried to print anything yet.

As for the upgrade, did it yesterday with no issues at all.

That's what I thought when I upgraded one of my iPads to ios7. It seemed to work well at first, but since then I've discovered the battery runs down within a few hours unless I power it down. There no longer seems to be a switch in software to turn the thing off with the magnetic cover that used to do that when I closed it. Now it stays on, and doesn't seem to go to sleep, either.

I think I'll wait until you guys beat a path.

As far as I know, the latest drivers for Epson printers are now available in in the OSX Software upgrade. At least, that's what happened when I hooked up my R2400 and then started up SU. It notified me there was a new Epson package, downloaded, and installed it for me.

I went ahead and updated last night without CCC. Yeah, dats right, I'm a badass risk taker. Everything seems to work:CS4, Photomatix, and all the other stuff except the software for my Epson V500 scanner and there doesn't seem to be any update in the APP store either. I can access the scanner through the PRINT&FAX tab in the system preferences though. Hopefully Apple will update the scanner driver soon. Haven't tried my Epson R1900 printer yet though.

No problems with out HP 2025 laser, Canon 9500II, or Canon Pixma 100. Push Epson for the drive, not Apple. Apple will just pass it on when Epson releases it.

Complained too soon. The iPad is fixed. Duh. But on another front, I really, really dislike the interface. I'm going to turn 70 on my next birthday, and whoever it was that told Apple's software engineers to change the display's text to tiny and white on a gray background ought to be fired.

I almost did the same thing because I was getting frustrated with losing wireless connectivity for no reason other than there are more Apple devices connected wirelessly now than when the iMac was new. I'm hoping this issue were addressed on Mavericks.

After the upgrade I had to go to work. So I haven't played with it. I'm not sure if iMessage was there before, but it's there now and that's something I don't mind having.

I'm not as old but I was already working when Radio Shack's color computer came out. That kinda tells you I'm old too. And I have been wearing glasses since 16 so I know what you mean. I feel your pain.;)
