Does anyone here discuss their experience on MM and working with models etc.. I shoot mostly inanimate objects, cars, guitars, airplanes, that sort of thing and would like to start to include models on some of my projects, I would be interested in learning more about working with models.

Here's my MM: http://www.modelmayhem.com/2020480 (external link)

I use MM pretty regularly to find new models for particular shoots. Couple rules of thumb regarding first time shoots with a model and nobody getting paid:

How effectively they communicate leading up to the shoot will give you an idea if they will show. Solid, quick email responders that discuss details almost always show. Emails such as "yeah, i am interested in doing a shoot" and then slow reply's to follow up almost always end up with an excuse the day of the shoot- after setting all the lights of course.

For new models now I just always schedule two for the same time. If they both show you shoot one while the other does makeup/changes clothes etc. Lately it seems I end up with one in any event.

Always best to start building a group of models that you shoot somewhat regularly. You get to work very well together, and they always show up! Also good to do same with MUA and stylists, they can make a tremendous difference in what you get from the shoot.

Good luck!
