Hello everyone. I am still very new here but I have received some positive feedback in the threads I have created thus far. I am still a new shooter and am trying to improve as much as possible and would like to start making some money with this hobby. For those who know me, I like to do portrait work, especially candid shots. Again, all C+C welcome. This was an unplanned shoot that took place in the driveway. Thanks for looking!
-Greg

Hmmm. I didn't even know it was possible to pose an 20 month old. I've never met one that followed instructions like that.

That's weird. I didn't raise any saturation or vibrance levels. I will make some adjustments and see how they look.

I will admit that I don't do portraiture photography-unless absolutely required (like my sister's wedding). However, I HAVE had a 20 month old, twice in fact since I have two kids and you're correct, one does not "pose" a 20 month old. I also don't think that the pictures are oversaturated at all, I really like them just the way they are. IF I was going to knit pick I would say that maybe you could lighten the blacks SLIGHTLY in the second picture to add more detail to his shirt and maybe lower the highlights in the third picture so the whites aren't blown out a little but other than that, I wouldn't change them. But, I personally like my pictures to have contrast whereas some people like their pictures very light with almost no contrast.

OK. Let's take candid to mean without the subject's knowledge.

I sense there was some interaction...but maybe not if you say so.

Not sure what folks are seeing here but these look terrific, love them all. You caught some great expressions, exposure looks quite good, color is good, perhaps a bit over saturated (black shirt), and the B& W conversion is quite good.

And that 3rd shot is a killer. Wonderful capture.

I agree, color intensity looks good.

Oh yea...........a pair of mirrored Ray Ban aviators and he'd be rockin'. Straight out of Smokey and the Bandit.

Thank you for the compliments everyone. Yes, these were taken with my 6D and 85 f/1.8, which I think is having focusing issues.
