Took some pics at a photography event held at Cunningham Falls SP in Thurmont, MD. This was their first raptor photo shoot event. All the birds are not able to be released into the wild...some were blind or missing a wing. They were all gorgeous and I loved taking pics of them...here are my favorites.

Stellar, from top to bottom. Just wow. The background/bokeh is almost as beautiful as the birds.

Thanks everybody. It was a real joy hanging out around these birds and I was thrilled with the pictures. The colorful leaves in the background really made it nice.

They are housed in an Aviary at a State Park in Maryland..but for this session they brought them out 3 at a time and placed them on natural looking perches. The birds were calm throughout...there were 4 keepers there to make sure they stayed calm. One red tailed hawk kept trying to fly so they took her back inside. There others just sort of sat there looking around and watching us.
