Super shots on this page everyone.

This is a re edit of a 5 exposure hdr of my home bar where I used the latest option to merge then tone the image as a 32 bit file using the Adobe Camera Raw editor. So far, I've been very satisfied with the results I've been getting using this method.

Nicely done. The quality of the 17-55 lends itself well for this type of rendering.

I'm going to take a look at this lens today, in exchange for my Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC.

I predict you will get it and never look back. Its just a great lens. People debate the virtues of several similar models but from what I can tell, once they go with this lens they never go back.

i know that's the case with me. Great lens.

You predicted correctly! As soon as I tested it out, I was pleased with the quick and silent focusing, the silent IS motor, and of course, the much better image quality.

The Tamron probably would have been okay if the focus was on...it kept front-focusing even after maximum possible microadjustment on my 50D body.

Color rendition of the Canon lens is much superior than the Tamron. It definitely is an L lens stuck in an EF-S body.

Pictures to follow!

Now that's what I call "good" HDR. Very nice.
