I keep running into the KB size problem more than 150 even though the screen size is correct. I am using LR.

If you are using lightroom just limit the size to 150kb or host elsewhere and embed it.

150KB only applies to attachments. An embedded image link can be any KB size As long as it's at/under 1024px.
