Canon are you listening? A white (L lens) 500 or 600 F5.6 IS for less than $5000. They would sell like hotcakes.

UWA zoom sharp corner to corner >>> name it what you like
24-70 II with IS
100-400 II

That first one is called: EFs 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. The other two may be a long time coming.

Dedicated APS-c shooter. Gripped 60D, 60 2.8, 10-22, 15-85, Σ70-200 OS and a big white something or other! Plus a 5D w/28-75.

I like this suggestion a lot! I also want this:
* EF 100mm f/1.4 IS (fits better between 50mm and 200mm than an 85mm)
* EF, EF-M and EF-S 200mm f/2.8 IS (to shoot hand held at slow shutter speeds)
* EF-M and EF-S 60mm f/1.4 (a portrait lens for the EOS-M and crop DSLRs)
* EF-M and EF-S 28mm f/1.4 (a normal prime for the EOS-M and crop DSLRs)
* EF-S 55-150mm f/2.8 IS (a fast tele-zoom to complement the 17-55mm)

Yep, that one.

Dedicated APS-c shooter. Gripped 60D, 60 2.8, 10-22, 15-85, Σ70-200 OS and a big white something or other! Plus a 5D w/28-75.

The ultimate all-around prime lens (pardon the oxymoron): EF 55mm f/2 IS L Macro

You know, a lens for the ages, a work-horse, one that you keep for decades...

I want a decent f/2 without IS and under 300 bucks.

And a 35 and 100 f/2...

But if they make it, nobody would buy faster lenses.

135 1.4 IS

It would basically be a smaller version of the 200mm 2.0 IS.

Still waiting for Canon to make their first UWA-zoom with sharp corners.

Nikon has had theirs since 2008.

Would it be white or black?

shorter range. heavier. more expensive. bulbous front element. much prefer the 16-35L II.
