shorter range. heavier. more expensive. bulbous front element. much prefer the 16-35L II.

But then again, you always prefer Canon gear in every single discussion. And that doesn't change the fact that the 16-35 II is an optical joke compared to the Nikon 14-24.

On topic. Yes, a sharp UWA-zoom from Canon is still missing. It doesn't necessarily have to be 14-24. A razor sharp 16-35L III or a 16-50L would also be ace!

Sony A7R * 70-200 2.8L II * 24-70L II * Samyang 14
Recently sold: 5DIII * Sigma 35 *

Horrible corner sharpness, horrible corner sharpness and... Horrible corner sharpness.

I guess the 16-35 II is ok for photojournalism and other shooting where IQ across the frame doesn't matter much. It's an all around wide angle workhorse. Jack of all trades, master of none.

For my kind of shooting, I would not use the 16-35 II even if someone paid me to.

I want them to make something that's useless to me. That way I'm not tempted in spending more money.

for me, hopefully...
10-50 f4L USM
24-150 f2.8L IS USM
70-400 f4L IS USM

& if the iq for those 3 as expected from L lenses,
& if the total weight for those 3 is 3.5kg or below,
& if the total price for those 3 is $3.5k or below,
then, that trinity would be enough for me... :)

I think 28-50 F2 sounds do-able.

[QUOTE=YashicaFX2;16411650]That first one is called: EFs 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. The other two may be a long time coming.[/QUOTE

Hey, hey, hey.. you have a one track mind.....LOL ;)
I own a crop, so thank you for pointing that out...but I think we all know that one..

Should of been more specific...
UWA zoom sharp corner to corner for FF >>> name it what you like

Actually some remove the rubber grommet on the 10-22 and use it for FF. However I think it vignetts on the FF
