Simple as simple can get. My 60D handheld at f/18 1/6000 and iso 100 with my 300mm f/4L. Drove to an open field, shot just the sun and moon then added some with the top of that house to get some interesting foreground. Thats it.

No telescope, no filter (sunrise) and no tripod. This was very last minute and I just did the best I could, think it turned out pretty well.
