Off topic.. How do you do the battery test? For lens sharpness / accuracy / consistencies?

I prefer this:

You print the target, glue it on stiff paper and you have a pretty good calibration tool.

My nifty's test:

now if you can print that in sharp laser printer, it's better because then it will have better sharp edges. liquid ink tend to blot a little that may bug you that your lens isn't sharp.

i just read that somewhere.

meanwhile, just got bored. siggy at 1.4 very close up shot. this isn't crop.

The most important thing I found is to give the target some stiffness, so that it doesn't curve. I used some cardboard from a hanging folder and taped everything to a bread cutting board. If I ever do it again (when I get the 5DIII) I will glue it to heavy posterboard with contact cement and then to a solid base like the bread cutting board.

all my recent postings were with 35mm. I'm loving it. if you know how to frame your subject without distorting them. it's cool.

i also noticed it's really good with using a flash in a bracket. with the 35mm FL, you can be closed to your subject. Because of that, you don't need a lot of power from the flash except if you're really battling with a very mighty sun.

being close to your subject means you can be more engaged to your subject.

Are you using your 5DIII or 70D primarily with these photos?

Edit: never mind it eventually occurred to me that I could just check your flickr link :)
