The-digital-picture.com shows that Image Quality of this lens is very sharp even at 70mm F/4 and 200mm F/4

Oct 31, 2013 11:01 | #3 I still own one -- it's a terrific lens throughout its entire focal range, even wide open. AF performance is stellar. If you do not need f/2.8, it is the best 70-200 zoom that Canon makes.

Oct 31, 2013 16:05 | #8 Before the 2.8IS II changed the game there was a lot of discussion about whether it made any sense to buy a 2.8 (IS or not) if you had to stop down to get sharpness, given the extra weight. Thats not to say that the 2.8 is unusable wide open, but its much better a stop or two down.

Many of my friends and many of camera stores owners in my city said Tamron lenses don't bring fine colour and Canon lenses always bring better colour. Are they right??????
