Nice cinematic look, Denn Ice. Only downer for me is that most of the photos, the subjects are just too central - but that is just my opinion.

You have a wonderful "back yard" where you are (as you guys say) to play around with the look and feel to the images.

This link is to a large selection of images from my trip to South Africa and Kruger National Park contains images taken with Canon 7D, 5D II and 5D III; lenses 24-105mm L f4 IS, 70-200mm L f4 IS and 400mm DO f4 IS; as well as the use of both Canon and Sigma teleconverters.

Elephant's eye is with 5D III and 400mm DO f4 IS and 2X TC III. Zebra is with 5D III and 400mm DO f4 IS.

Andrew just curious but what's up with this stitch? I'm having a hard time trying to figure why you chose to do it with those to frames and not just keep them as separate photos.

The one on the right is closer to the water, giving it a macro or detailed look.

I got that they're totally different shots, it's just stitching them I didn't get. For a panorama, continuous burst, before/after or for several shots it's obvious to why they're stitched, but with these 2 shots I don't why not just have them separate.

Anyway, been enjoying all the beautiful scenes you've photographed in my home state. Jealous I haven't even been to many of them and upset that I have driven past probably all of them and I don't have photos of the ones I've been to. In my defense I haven't been to them since the digital years started.

Just bought my 5D MKIII today from Amazon. Will be here tomorrow at some point. Upgraded from the 400D I had been shooting with for over 5+ years. Also got it with the 24-105 being my 18-55 kit lens from the 400D won't work with it. Have a 50mm 1.8II and 70-200mm F/4L to go along with it.

Pretty stoked.

Canon USA just released Firmware Version 1.2.3 update for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR.

Firmware Version 1.2.3 incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

1.Fixes a phenomenon in which the flash may not fire depending on the timing of when the shutter button is pressed.

2.Fixes a phenomenon in which the AF microadjustment value may change.*

3.Fixes a phenomenon in which the LCD monitor may show a line of false color along boundaries of high contrast.

4.Fixes a phenomenon in which the histogram of a LiveView image is incorrectly displayed when an HDMI cable is connected.

5.Enables the brightness of the camera’s LCD monitor to be adjusted even when an HDMI cable is connected.
* The phenomenon listed in 2 was addressed with Firmware Version 1.2.1, and has been further improved with Firmware Version 1.2.3.

Firmware Version 1.2.3 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.2.1. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.2.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
When updating the firmware of your camera, please first review the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware.
