It was the 30D with 70-200/4, but now that I have the 17-40/4.

Impossible to pick one favourite, it depends on what I photograph.

One combo I always enjoy using though is the 1D Mark II w. 300/2.8 for sports.

5D or 20D with 15-30, 24-70, 70-200IS or 100-400IS with or without 1.4x and/or 2x TC. Or, of course, the A620. Really, what I like depends on what I'm shooting.

i'm using a 7d with 24-105/4 i find its very good for street/people and even when i go into say a cafe where the light is low,no flash needed,hey,it works.:p

5D3 + 300mm f/2.8 IS II with 1.4x and 2x convertors. Nice and light to handhold with a choice of 300mm, 420mm and 600mm focal lengths.
