Proud to be a new member of these boards. I've been shooting with my 60D for almost a year now after making the jump from the 50D for the video and articulating LCD. I had no issues with the 18-135mm kit lens that came with my 60D, but I'm proud to say that I've made the jump to some L glass with a refurbished 24-105 f/4L that will be arriving on Monday morning.

My first time giving a refurb Canon product a try, but with the same warranty in place, I couldn't pass this deal up. With a promo code that knocked 20% off the already low price, I picked this lens up for less than $750.

No real point to this post other than I'm glad to be here and can't wait to shoot with this red ring beauty.

I'm searching through the boards right now, so forgive me if this already exists somewhere, but I would love to see some sample shots with this camera/lens setup if anyone cares to share some of their work.

Keep shooting!

Welcome...I am new too. Keep your eyes on the market watch section here...people are more than happy to help you spend your money. And canonpricewatch.com is a good site to watch.

I'm tempted to keep the one I got with my 6D last week, but there's too many other lenses I have higher on the list (17-40L, Sigma 35, 135L) right now. From briefly handling it, it seems like a wonderful lens.

What promo code did you use? Or was it the loyalty program?

It was a canon direct coupon code that I used, ZOMBIE2013 I believe, for the 20% drop.

Check out the lens archive thread for the 24-105mm. Here is a link: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142974. I use it with the 7D all the time, well as the T3i which have virtually the same sensor as the 60D. Here are a couple of shots with the 24-105 and the 7D from a child's 3rd birthday party from about one month ago. Welcome to the forum.
