I have only done a few family photo sessions. This one yesterday was a first using my speedlight outside during the day. The clients were very happy with the results. I know I still have a lot of improving to do, but it sure picked me up when the father said "You knocked it outta the park" 5D M3 Most were with the 70-200 2.8 II. C&C welcome.

Nice job. Could use a little work on the father's glasses with respect to the glare of the flash. I like the setting. Would be great to try "Benzinger effect" on couple of those poses.

I noticed the glare also. I'll have to work on that. If you don't mind me asking, what is the "Benzinger effect"?

Honest Critique...I know selective coloring is a personal preference, however, i always find it tacky and unattractive. I very rarely see a photo that benefits from this effect. The fall colors that you have captured are beautiful, but i do see a bit of an overpowering yellow/orange tone on their skin in a few from the set. I also find that the black and white conversion is a bit flat. My fave is #4 minus the overpowering tone.

I think the b&w doesnt do the set any justice, not when compared side by side..

Most photographers cringe at the thought of selective coloring but clients sure do love them.

Thanks for the comments. Are there any good tutorials to fix eye glasses glare?

My apologies. I had a brain fart. I meant to say benizer effect, also known as panoramic stitching allowing for a very shallow depth of field yet maintaining a wide angle of view. Below is an example.
