as for views then I think it must be from the Yahoo landing page as Flickr is a Yahoo company I think they post up funny pics of the day on there, my little water vole pic had 41,000 views in a day!

Can I mention that I got awarded my first Higly Commended in the European Wildlife Photographer of the year for this pic of good old Gandalf.

Rolls Royce Wraith - got one for 4 days. Pity the weather will be crap but we are going to do a gastro weekend in France and hope to get some good shots.

These two in particular are fabulous.

Cracking shots as usually Mark and well done on the highly commended well deserved.

JD and Wayne like the Roller it should waft you across France in style. The offer of the use of the Fat Gecko is still there if you want to use it for your automotive shoots Jon.

That's a stunning car. It looks like a cross between a Rolls, a Bentley, a Jaguar and an Aston Martin. I know nothing about cars in case you were wondering have a great time with the car JD and Cindy.

This not very good iphone pic has somehow sneaked into explore on Flickr, and had over 3000 views today. Shame my decent pics don't do that well

I find it quite interesting how images I think are okay or just mediocre are liked by people. I had a mountainscape shot that I took on a whim without much forethought (it was pretty much the definition of a "snapshot") and it made the Popular list on 500px.

^ This whole series is great, but these two stand out for me.

Since the topic of stuff we don't do well came up, I've gone back through my shots and tried to come up with some half-decent/not terrible portraiture. I almost never stage my people pictures mainly because I wouldn't know a good pose if you bludgeoned me over the head with it. So I tend to shoot mostly candid shots at family/friend gatherings...

So you are a dab hand at candids!! nice set. I rarely think the posed photographs are better. When I look at wedding photographers there are only a few who make the posed shots look really good.
