Is it really the right place for this thread or it should be moved away?
A sub menu to the EOS one.

Its not that I don't like Nikon, I really want one, but the D600 is plagued with dust or oil, and the D7100 could use cleaner high ISO.

Ever wanted one?
If so, lets have fun...

For me, the D700 would do just fine!
With a flash, and one great all around zoom and a 50mm.

What i think would be a good idea if the forum opened it up for sub threads of different camera types like it does for canons eg - show us your best nikon d5100 etc etc, instead of just allowing a one single thread to cover all nikon types, i honestly think it would more than double the attendance the site gets, as many canon owners have/are also nikon or other camera make users.
Mods how about it please????

It's supposed to be implemented when the new forum software rolls out.

I used Nikons for many years. The FE was my first real camera and I loved it. I replaced it with an FA which I hated.

But Canon lured me with the eye-control Eos-3 and I now have too much invested in the Eos system to change. But the new "retro" style Nikon does look good and with Sony producing better sensors than Canon, well...............

Im sure sensor are going to be canon next step, they behave nicely with high iso, just need a little push in the So called dynamic range, soon i,ll get a mirroless, for fun.
A few nice brands are in my mind, got to go and try them first, fuji XE2 and X100s

A sub forum would be ok I guess, save having any Nikon talk in here at least. Remember it is a Canon forum, I feel one thread is more than enough.

I've always lusted for the D800E, mainly because of the high DR and resolution. But sadly, Nikon's cameras won't take my precious EF-lenses, so they are a no-go for me.

But now I have Sony's A7R on preorder (even better sensor than the D800E), together with the metabones adapter. So it's all good! :)

Good choice, i,m thinking Fuji XE2 as a small camera, and would be great to use canon zooms
