Good start Joe! They are fun sometimes :) try to spot meter on the face, as it's the most important feature to get exposure on. Keep shootin' !!

Thanks Jeff! Will give that a shot next time for sure! This guy runs around like a mad man which the other photogs warned me about. I think my head went left to right every 2 seconds, must of actually looked funny.

Lol, it's a workout sometimes :) I keep it in servo for just that reason. The new LED lighting is nice and bright, but makes white balance a nightmare. I try to find some white (snare or bass, white faceplate in guitar, label on water bottle, etcetera) to use my WB eye dropper in LR.

Once you get stage shows down, almost every other shooting situation appears to be a breeze. It's a great way to learn how to asses, adjust and get back shooting.

I shot the U2 tribute band "Desire" again the other night. I was there for the whole show waiting for the shot I had in my head...the cover of Rattle and Hum. Unfortunately, it was "Bono" in the spotlight, but close ;)

I am really loving the pictures in this thread and have a question about them.

How do you folks keep the singer well lit from the front with such strong lights in the background?
