Thanks! I saw that yesterday. It looks like the right pattern, but the red appears to be more orangy. Maybe I should send them a pic?

I really like the muslin used in this pic. Can anyone identify the color, type & manufactuer? It's much appreciated!

So, I found a Cranberry muslin online at Silverlakephoto. It ALMOST looks like this one. If you folks get a chance, look it up & tell me what you think?

I found this as well, which is actually cheaper & may be closer to what I want:

Thoughts between the two?

I was going to add this, but it seems that it's already mentioned on the website

Please remember that these muslin are made by hand, therefore, the pattern may vary slightly from the backdrop pictured. Allow for 5-8% manufacturing shrinkage.

I've bought a bunch of dyed/painted muslins over the years and while not always exactly as pictured, they're generally pretty close.

If it were me, I'd go for the cheapest solution.

Now I see this one as well: http://www.aurabackdrops.com …drops-crimson-c-3_32.html (external link)
and I really like it, but it lacks the blacks of the other one on the same site. Decisions, decisions...

Personally, I'd still go with a gray one so that I could gel it whatever color I wanted... rather than buying a bunch of different muslins for each color I may want to use. But if you are set on getting a colored version, I'd probably go with the SilverLake one, it matches pretty closely.

I know there's been a lot of suggestions about using gels to achieve the color. Just an FYI, you can't *duplicate* the color of the muslins that you've posted by using gels. You can add color to a neutral muslin, but imo, it will always look like a gel'd color and not a color inherent in the fabric.

Just freaking buy something already. Every day you twidle your thumbs wondering about this particular photo is one that could have been spent shooting if you just pick one already.

Yes. Unfortunately, the photographer they used, who was their friend as well, passed away.
