exposure, colors, are good... only thing that i would say i maybe get a higher vantage point if possible.. the main mound over powers the composition a bit to much making the background just not right for me.... but that mound may have been your focal point.. either way its a good shot.. 7/10

a recent shot from a engagement session

I really like the composition Bart! You can see/feel their emotions even though her eyes are closed. I see it in her facial expression.

Her hand seems a bit bright and a little washed out in a way though. 9/10

Shoot a couple weeks ago. Friend's friend's kid.

I really like the portrait but odd placement in the frame. I think it would work out better if the subject was off centered to the right since she is looking the opposite way. Also, abit more DOF would be nice but fine as is. 7/10

I think the stuff around the outside of the central 5 figures is a bit distracting. Maybe a vignette, or a slightly more interesting angle might have given it a bit more 'purpose'? It's nicely focused and exposed. 5/10

That's a beautiful capture, lighting, softness. My only criticism is the crumpled blanket or something in the background. it distracts a bit from the peacefulness of the scene, but that might be a nitpick. 8/10.

Very nice, clean shot. Lighting is nice. I feel like it's a little too vibrant however. But that's just personal preference.

I'm wondering if the unevenness of light on his face is just his skin or something else?

6.5/10. While, it's a nice moment for the quarterback, I don't like how the players behind him and in front of him are chopped off. Some other framing would work better...even a portrait crop of just the quarterback perhaps if you don't have any more of the scene to work with. it's unfortunate the referee in the back has the quarterback's elbow for his head..

It's a little noisy, but it's quite sharp. My taste would be for just a little more brightness, a tiny bit more contrast, and a tiny bit more vibrance/saturation. As it is, it kinda looks like a color print on a newspaper--a little drab.

EDIT: looking at it now, it doesn't look as drab..I must have been pretty tired this morning.

I'm going to submit this first pic for rating because I like the light trails better...but I have a feeling the 1st one in here out of the 6 is a better composition http://www.flickr.com/photos/hyogen82/ (external link) Can you check my flickr page out and vote which you think is the best one? :

Sorry to mess up the flow, but what do you mean by "action?" Always looking to get better, but I don't understand action for this? Thanks a ton...... Carry on.

I'd have loved someone walking on the path, maybe someone walking a dog...a human presence, something like that
