Thanks; glad you found it comment-worthy. It isn't exactly urban; it was a luggage rack on Amtrak--but the train is interurban. I was alert for something to shoot, and this solitary bright orange bag in a dimly lit space caught my notice. It turned out that the jiggling train didn't interfere with stability as much as expected.

for me there is a whole area of meaning - the bag is a kind of silent anthropomorphic element in a cold manufactured setting. then you have the whole journey, change, transition, anticipation, the red bringing tension into the composition. quite a powerful photograph.

You're one of the few here whose comments show that they understand what I'm trying to do.

The bag is the only soft, compressible thing and the only bright-colored thing in the picture. (Out of focus, too. The metallic elements are appropriately sharper.) But the compartment, as sterile as it looks, was purposely designed to accommodate human needs.
