why that lens (24L)??? JW

Because I shoot my 24 2.8 IS in environments that force me to ISO 3200 with my 5D, which it doesn't handle well. It is all personal use stuff. I don't sell anything or get paid to take photos. The 24 2.8 IS is the right FL. I just wish I could afford the f/1.4L II.

Hey fish, why don't you all let us in where you sell your photos. Or do you just give them away to your grandma so you can receive a nice compliment from someone at least. Afterall, grandma's love everything their grand childern do.

Nice internet detective work, but if hoggy wished to stay anon, he should have been left anon.

Anyhow, don't see any problems with hotel work in the vimeo, I'de be happy if hotels picked up my photos :)

As a general rule of thumb i believe that we can say that the red ring is worth it. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Is the 2470Lv2 worth it over the tamron 2470VC? hard to say. for me, I went with the L for autofocus accuracy since I value that over the VC ability of the tamron lens, sharpness not being considered.

Go to the first post where Hoggy quotes me to see who's doing the stalking and jumps off topic. I offered my opinion annothing more so he should do likewise without acting out in a juvenile manner and trying to be "funny" which he isn't.

Btw, the red ring is stilllllllllllllllL worth it.

Since tamron and sigma doesnt have the fastand reliable AF like the L lenses I wont buy them only for MTF charts. BEcause ı manly shot on the streets and I need very fast AF to catch the moment. Color, contrast and characteristic look of the images mean much more to me than the MTF charts.
