Went to check out an apartment today in Waikiki (Canal House). Great views, great location. Not-so-great apartment.

Really wanted to love the apartment. Too bad. The search continues.

Nice place. Next to Jefferson elementary. I don't think I'd like to live that close to waiks tho

Yeah, I liked that it was right on the edge of Waikiki. Close enough for me, but NOT in the heart of Waiks.

Arrived in Kauai yesterday and have been having a blast.

We are staying in a condo at the Outrigger at Lae Nanai that is only about 20 metres from the beach. It is a beautiful location.

Went to Waimea Canyon today and it was absolutely spectacular.

We are off to Hanalei Bay tomorrow and then on Sunday a sunset cruise along the Na Pali coast.

I already have plenty of pics to share, but I cant post them until I get backin 4 weeks time as I dont have any imaging software on my little laptop

Come down and visit my friend's exhibit today at the Capital One 360 building in Waikiki! He will be there showing off his work from 1:00pm-4:00pm and I believe there will be food and drinks (but don't quote me on that).

I have a question about Waikiki. Is there anything much to visit down there? I am not fond of having to see 30,000 people crammed into a sidewalk.

There are two sidewalks.

Really, though, its an interesting place to people watch and view the sunset.

You should try San Francisco, that's people watching. As for the sunset, I'll be over on the West side of the island.
So far the only reason I can come up with to visit Waikiki is to take pictures of the Royal Hawaiian.

They have miles of warm, white sandy beaches where every type of person is lounging around soaking up the sun?

If your only reason is to take pics of the pink lady, then don't go to Waikiki.

Are you only talking about the Waikiki Beach section?

Because there are other things very close to that part of town that are interesting to see and photograph, like Diamondhead and parts of the port and Chinatown area that have some interesting things to see and photograph.

No arguments please. Pink Lady ? Coral pink color, same as Tripler. If it was not for Tripler I probably would not be here today.

If you can't find photo ops on Hawaii you can't find any where. Sorry San Fran your not even in the hunt.

Just the beach and highrise section. I fully intend on seeing other things in Honolulu and I should end up with a few thousand photos.

yes, those are malasadas from leonard's bakery. I prefer the plain over fillings. it's all about the dough and it's texture ;D~~~~
