what type of bird is in the first photo?


Canon T5, Canon 40D, Canon 24-105L, Canon 10-18
Canon Nifty 50, Tamron 70-200 F2.8, Tamron 150-600 G2

The bird is a Greater Yellowlegs molting from alternate (breeding) to basic (winter) plumage.
