Argh. I considered the photographer CC sub and decided I would give it a shot. Only to find out my educational version of Creative Suite didn't qualify. So, I just 2 weeks ago shelled out the $80 to upgrade to lightroom 5.

Now they friggin change the rules again?!? WTF is going on over there? One can only hope that the subscription model isn't working out as they had hoped and are having to do this kind of thing to rope in more customers.

Way to keep aggravating customers like me adobe. Oh how I wish Aperture would have kept up with Lightroom.

I'd love to sign up for it, but they dont offer it to my country. Unless I use a different address.

Is this worth it for someone who already has LR4 and PSE 11?

Adobe is probably padding their books with new revenue before the next earnings date.

And they're probably roping more people in before jacking up the price next year. I'm still Photoshop-free and proud of it.

Yep. The spiraling prices over the past few months tells us all we need to know about the current popularity of renting software.

The thousands of millions of hacked accounts scandal probably hit them hard, and now they're trying to make up for it by enticing (luring) unsuspecting buyers into their silver-lining-less cloud. They can have it. I'll stick to CS4.

Nice price, but no thanks - the same reason why I didn't switch prior to. I don't want Adobe getting me in a corner where they can do what they please with the pricing after I've crossgraded.

They could offer it for free for a limited time, and I still wouldn't take it.

As I've heard mentioned by other people it's like drug dealers. Get people hooked, and then jack up the price.

I doubt it. The new software is LR 5 and full PS. But if you are satisfied with PSE 11 then stick with both for a while. I have LR 4 and no plans to upgrade.

This is a great deal - but do you have to subscribe for a full 1 year membership?

I believe you have to commit for 1 year, yes. Adobe's ploy to suck customers in at a cheap price so they feel like they have to continue to commit to Photoshop even when the price goes up.

I signed up, they wouldn't let me do it last week with my "student" copy of CS6.
