Thanks! I certainly tried.

I really do wonder if Canon makes them "unavailable" for these sales...or if employees get first crack at buying them. I just don't see how it can go out of stock in 3 seconds. 30 seconds to a minute, I can understand...but it's hard to understand how it can disappear the instant it becomes available.

Bryan

Maybe either your clock or Canon's clock is off...

The 16-35L was gone in a second and the 70-300L is listed but cannot be added to a cart. Good deals on the 60D and 85 1.8, though.

I was refreshing every 5-10 seconds just in case it started early. Oh well...

I get their email and this is what the link shows me. I'm sure it's not over, unless everyone beat us to the sales.

Most of the stuff are gone. To get the one you want is almost impossible

Beginning to think these sales are a crock.

They hardly have any stock at all, pretty sad.

I gave up waiting to buy during these sales because the good stuff is next to impossible to get and you end up wasting hours upon hours checking the site. It's like winning the lottery if you're able to get a 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 IS, or 300 2.8 IS II during one of these sales.

There wasn't much inventory this time. When the sale started there were only 43 copies of 24-70 mk II, less than 5 copies each of 16-35, 70-200 II, 70-300L, etc. There was only one 300 f/2.8 II.

Most stuff sold out within the first minute (imagine a hundred people competing for just a few copies of the lens).

The 43 copies of 24-70 II sold out in about 25 minutes. I watched the first 42 sell in 15 minutes and the last one lingered for a good ten minutes. :)

The SL-1 kit w/ 18-55 looks like a steal at $449, and there are 500+ in stock. I am going to grab one as a small kit-maker, rather than a m4/3. Enjoy –

Nice to see you on the POTN threads.
Maybe it's time to have a new feature to proxy a checkout for your users. I think CPW has enough street cred to collect CC info and get the job done. I'm sure for a nominal fee of course.

YES!! Finally nailed an EF 70-200mm f/4L IS with hood and case for $917 from Canon!!

Been waiting for about 6 months and kept getting Ebay offers from CPW. So happy I held out. Checkout was real hectic as I couldn't recall my account info and had to reregister. Swore I was going to miss out. Can wait to receive this puppy.

Canon Refurbished Sale Coming Tonight

Not sure why this is exciting. The MA state lottery comes every week and has about the same net effect :)

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

The 300 f2.8 IS II is listed at $5839. When the sale kicks in, it drops to $4963.
That's a savings of $1836 over new, and a great deal.
Now if they only had the 500 f4 II listed! :)

The 400/4 DO is still available!
