I'm looking to get back to my manual roots - but love the 5dc. if anyone knows if those old Nikkor ai lenses fit the 5d please enlighten me! I'm particularly worried that the rear elements might hit the mirror on the 5d.

I'm looking at in particular, the

ai-d 50mm f1.4
ai 28mm f2.8
and the 105mm

any help is greatly appreciated!

I think all your lenses should be fine. Check out this website : http://www.panoramaplanet.de/comp/#brass (external link)

Longer lenses are never a problem and it is only certain 50mm and wider lenses that may hit the mirror and usually only at infinity focus where the rear element physically moves rearward towards the image sensor.
