Just curious.... Do you have any issues with the YN568II when using bounce flash on-camera?

When I use my flash it's typically off camera, what issues have you heard of?

I think I'll just end up picking up a refurb through CLP.

probably the safest route but check all the options

Hello.

Referring to your question about the flash off camera..

I have a 6D + 430ex ii and i bought a neewer trigger/reciever new off eBay, cost was about £15, which was cheap enough for how little i actually use the flash.

Works perfectly :)

I saw some comments that you needed to switch the metering mode when using bounce. Do you have this issue?

U an I will be the quinea pigs on this experiment then..LOL! Same here, I bought it on impulse last night after some beer consumption, just waiting for that shoe to come flying across the living room from the wife..yikes. Hope it works out for the both of us.

Thanks for the link Scrumhalf, I'll share it w/ my friends, I'm sure they'll take advantage of it.

I too bought one of the $1400 6d bodies from ebay. I usually stick to amazon , b&h, etc. where you get fast shipping info. I purchased on Friday early afternoon and still no word on shipping, so it just makes me a little anxious. Did any of you who participated in the deal receive a shipping confirmation?

I just sent a message to the dealer asking if it shipped. I'm not worried about the purchase, worse case scenario is that they sold out and you just get your money back. As soon as get a response I'll post an update.

Much appreciated, thanks! If they did sell out, I would like to know sooner than later to take advantage of the current deal on Amazon!

I just got off the phone with the merchant ( pleasant lady) and my order is approved and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Sounds good to me. :)

That's good! Let me know how it works out for you. I tried to call, but the customer service dept closes at 3pm, who closes at 3 pm??

I have not received an email on that. When they said delivery tomorrow on the phone have you still not heard anything via email?? I don't care if I get a confirm, but it better show up:lol:

Also if they are on the east coast, it would make sense to work like 5-3 since they are a mail oriented company and being there before mail goes out is more important than after considering night time orders.

Everything is relative.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

lol..sounds like this is your first mail order. delivery confirmations don't happen till they get actually delivered. Peace On Earth.
