Has anyone ever done this? I have gotten some of the best sales there? When i bought my 5d2 for $1800, i sold it for $1700. and my 24-70 mkII is about to sell for $1950!

There appears to be a lot of low ballers on FB for some reason lol. I had better luck on Craigslist believe it or not but FB is safer since you get to check the persons profile.

really? i find that i get some people who are willing to pay more for the products at least for me. I guess its because i just completely ignore the one that seem so low. but i can raise the price on it a little and come to a great middle still

I guess it depends which market or what item. I do know that the cheaper items do sell quicker (50 1.4, 85 1.8, 5DC) and the favorites (135L, 5D2, 7D) But for the higher quality ones, 24-70Lii, 85Lii, 24lii, 70-200lii, they are hard to move unless you're willing to go a couple hundred dollars lower.

Where are you posting your gear for sale on FB? On your personal page or your photography page?

neither... i am a part of a couple of buy and sell groups. The ones i am a part of are canon/ photography specific groups.

the only thing about it is that im a little nervous about who i am dealing with and if they are truly real or not but most of them have legit pages and websites

Wow, I have never heard of this method! I use CL all the time. Do you ship or meet in person for these transactions?

Either lol. Be careful with shipping just like anywhere else. But I have had 2 transactions and about to have my third.

When I sold the 85 I shipped it, but made sure she was legit by looking up her profile and she was a photographer so that helped.

My second one was for canon members in the midatlantic area so everyone was pretty much a few hours away from me and she met me at my job. That was really nice.

This last one I will have to ship but it's a huge transaction so I'm nervous a little. But she seems legit on google searches and we've been talking for a few hours here and there
