Wow, 2slo- just great, great, stuff…..!

I'm torn between going after the 500MM or go for the 300MM f/2.8. Pictures like yours….wow, let's say they sway me toward the 500 :-)

I use canon TC now that i have upgraded to 2xTc iii i have to put a 12mm extension tube to fit the 1.4x Tc ii or iii behind but the image quality is still the same.

Thanks. Both are superb. If I could have just one I'd go for the 300mm. It works really well with the 2xTCIII and I find it light enough to walk around with unsupported when used with a camera such as the 5D3

I've hardly been out recently due to coming down with a sickness bug, but I managed 20 minutes outside today. A dark day here in N E England with poor light so this shot, taken with my 500mm + 2x TCIII, is ISO 20,000:
