I've heard so many different things. Like going over a third of a stop from native is doing EC for you (so exposing to the right) which could be a reason for better results.

Going a third of a stop under naive ISO has the opposite effect as it is said to underexpose a bit.

Have not taken the time to try for myself though.

f 10, 0.6s, ISO-12800.
Pulled down 1 stop
DPP Noise reduction + PS Selective sharpening using unsharp mask.

5D mkIII (handheld) ISO 6400 with the 24-105 at 105mm no NR
Only light in the room was from the inside candle.

PHOTOBUCKET EMBEDDING IS DISABLED BY THIS MEMBER.
