I'm just curious about this. I use Lightroom to import my photos from the card using a card reader, and Lightroom ejects the card. However to safely remove I have to close the browser (Firefox). This seems weird .....

Rosey what? When LR ejects I yank the card out of the reader. Period. No shutting down any browser. Maybe I'm missing something?

When I go to the little "show hidden icons" notifier, and go to eject card safely, it says a process is actively using it, and it's always after I shut the browser that I can safely remove.

Will canon honor warranty without receipt.

Since the 70D is only a few months old I would assume the buyer would have asked for a copy of the receipt and if there was a warranty problem the original owner would help with getting a warranty claim resolved. I would not think that would be too much to ask of the seller.

Agreed and the seller did provide me with the original receipt. Just in case.

that is bizarre - as FF should have nothing to do with an SD card...

after Lr import is finished I also have it set so my SD card is ejected. Whether or not I grab it at that point is another story - but it is safe to grab regardless.

Yes I thought so too, but it is always FF I have to shut down, unless of course I've been using PSE 11 as well.

Just wanted to share my observation between the 70D's result to different lens. All are untouched and formatted to JPEG.

Agreed. I am pretty surprised on the performance of the 18-135 STM.
