Nighttime Self Portrait

Took this on my first real attempt at some nighttime photography. I really like it, but I wanted some feedback on what other's thought. The only thing that I can't decide is if I should have pulled the long piece of grass in the front left. It doesn't distract me too much, but I am undecided if it would be better without, or have less depth if it was gone.

That long piece of grass appears as if its casting a shadow against the sky. Now that just does not look right. But its a cool looking image anyway.

My thought too. What is it casting it's shadow on?

Maybe the shadow is the grass in one spot, then the flash went off (second curtain) and lit the grass in a slightly different spot?

Cool photo and the grass shadow is interesting.

I think the grass and strange shadow makes it look even more surreal. I really like the photo.

It's a nice setup, but frankly yea my eye was instantly drawn to whatever that shadow on the grass is. It's just a visually strange element, cool, but kind of took away from the main subject.

I like the picture but with that grass thing going on it appears as if the background is a mural or something. Like the processing you did.

Thanks for everyone's feed back. I think it is an artifact of the long exposure. I am going to try to see if I can process out the shadow. I hadn't tried yet because it will be the most detailed pixel pushing I have done yet.

I'd just cut the grass - the long bright ones.
