If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I think both would work well. I can see perhaps a 400mm framing with the silhouette working here. But the wide angle gives a nice perspective. Somewhere in the middle wouldn't work too well though.

I like it this way more. I THINK a tighter one might have looked better had it a been a completely round sun setting in the background, a tighter framing would have made it look much larger.

Now that I look at it some more, I kinda agree with Julian. If the boats in the background were not there, the zoom would have been better.
