Finally a replacement for my 450d. Love it uptill now, I'm still waiting for another package to arrive, but then I'm going out and try it on some other subjects than the ones in my appartment.

EDIT:

More info on the setup for those that might be a lil lost, let's say I'm the cam op, I'll operate for framing and movement, my AC will do the focusing (follow focus + zacuto screen to the side) while my audio guy (if there is one, else it'll be me) monitors the audio. Usually that shotgun mic isn't on camera.

This is very interesting to look at, I just don't know what it all is! Any chance of telling us (me!) exactly what is there?

Well starting off from the bottom, you'll see the Vinten Vision Blue tripod head, and the Kessler Kwik release is attached, allowing for drop-in instead of slide-in action.

Above that is a Genus Canon System Baseplate, which is actually not meant for my camera, but for the Canon Cinema cams with a very high lens mount. The reason I bought it is because I want to raise my camera with another Kessler Kwik release, so I can make my camera a quick release too.

Above that, a Sony FS700 with Metabones Speedbooster (allows the Super35 sensor i.e. similar to APS-C to look like Full frame) holding a Canon 2470 II, with a Genus Matte Box Lite kit on (for further 4x4 ND / CPL filtration). The focus ring has an add-on follow focus gear.

To the left (from camera op's point of view) is the lanparte follow focus and zacuto monitor (an evf without the Z-finder). This allows the 1st AC (assistant camera) to pull focus while having a screen that can display peaking and false colour aids.

Audio wise, a simple Sennheiser G3 wireless tx is connected via XLR into the camera, with the rx unit carrying a sennheiser ME2 omni mic for clip-on to talent. Above that, a Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic cradled in a Rode SM3 shock mount with a long XLR for booming. That shotgun does go up when I have to move around as a single shooter, just for some ambient.

Long post... Hope it helps!

Lens collection has gone from 3 lenses and a 2x teleconverter to just two primes, plus the eosm and it's 22mm prime.
Sorry for the iPhone pic. :roll eyes:

This angle makes it look bigger. To give you some perspective, the eos-m is about the same diamensions as the iPhone 4S. Just twice as thick.

Thanks. I kind of want to get one with a 22mm to carry around with me when I'm at school or work.
