Just a fun snap when I saw this "butterfly" in a plant pot. Taken with the 22mm (which is proving to be one sharp lens).

^^^Great shot. That 22 is indeed sharp. Especially with closeups.

Anyone interested in doing a setup shot of the 22mm and the 18-55mm kit lens (setup at 22mm) for comparison sake? I am contemplating getting the 22 as my kit is only the 18-55 but I am wondering how much better, optically, they 22 is.

Very nice image, but your direct link isn't working unless you click through to flickr.

If there anyway to turn on exposure simulation when using manual lenses with speedlights?

When I use my 22mm it's fine, but when I toss on a MF lens the assist beam and exposure simulation shuts down.

AF assist beam makes sense, since it is for AF.

However, I haven't had any issues with exposure simulation. I have had issues with the meter underexposing with MF lens, so maybe that is what you are experiencing.

I love my M. Good news and bad news: I have to sell it (bad news) to scrape up extra money for the 6D I'm buying this week (good news). I'd love to keep the M, and might actually be able to, but I'll probably sell it (or trade it on POTN for a strobe).

I'll post a bunch more pics in the M section, however, as I still have a lot left to process from the last couple weeks.

Sad to see you give up with M, but I am quite certain you'll buy M again. At least I have entertained with the idea, and coming back would not cost a fortune.
