A very dark day at the track with full headlights obligatory with the midday light more akin to evening light. ISO rarely below 3200 to get anything like a minimum shutter speed

When I think of a hot hatch, I certainly don't think of a Porsche GT3 and an Elise...

Hot Hatch is simply the name the track give to these events regardless of the cars on track, so that's what I use.
There was a lot of water falling between the lens and the cars to the extent I wasn't prepared to get out the car and tried to pan sitting in the drivers seat as they went past. Some of the shots show as much water in the air as anything else. #2 taken thru a fence sitting in the car a few feet behind it was used to show the headlights on the tarmac around midday and the lack of light

You should just say "Sports cars at the Track"
