haha I knew it ! well a hundred not going to kill me I guess: likely Amazon wont take complaints of such nature; always I pullthe trigger a day or two early. well if I would not have maybe there would not have been a deeper cut...so merry Holiday. LOL

Amazon will adjust the price, once.

They did it for me, I bought the 70D with the 18-135 at $1550, then B and H had it for $100 less two weeks later. I already forget if it was resolved via phone or email, but it did get a $100 put back onto my credit card.

Bought mine 12 days ago and they did a $100 price adjustment for me. Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the kit with the 18-135 STM lens for $150 more. I already have a 17-55 f/2.8 but that is a good deal for that lens.

My 60D worked great, don't have my 70D yet but I would say with the 7D AF system, MA, and faster FPS, the 70D should be even better.

Back out on the bike on the Landscapes cycleway today to have another try at getting the herons, but only one, and way out range. Sat at Te Awanga and watched the seagulls fishing in the surf. This is called the stella technique:

Didn't quite nail the focus on these - I'm guessing because not enough contrast between gull's head and the surf: included them cos liked the action. Another try on another day

A few more my bike ride yesterday. As I cycled through a reserve at Clive I could see a little blue sail further down the river, and was mystified as to what it could be. Not sure how far he had come - there's a sort of estuary area where the river meets the sea, about a few hundred metres from where this was taken. There was a lot of shadow on his face as I was shooting a bit against the sun, so I made four duplicates in Lightroom, then tonemapped in Photomatix Essentials, just for fun.
