I got a 6D and I just bought this "heavy!" gem :) I got a problem that I don't understand or solve...
At f/1.4, I mfa my lens to +3 and it seems really fine on center point. At the same +3 mfa if I use the far right or far left focus points, the object is not at the focus. I tried to mfa at that points and they adjusted at +1... But this time middle focus point is not tack sharp because of the +1, it needs +3...

I generally, use middle point to focus/recompose, but this is annoying. I may add that when you go higher fstops the problem just goes away . Everything is just fine at 2.8 and up.

Is this a flaw? Do I have to send it back or recalibrate or what? Please advise,

Thanx:)

First off how are you testing ? Handheld? Tripod mounted? If you are testing handheld then you can't really conclude anything from your findings as there will be user inconsistencies . It sounds like you will need to calibrate it on the dock. This is what many of us done to cure all AF issues

Well Adam, I have about given up on my kids....they absolutly REFUSE to participate. Thus, it seems as if my gear has been just sitting on the shelf (hence my updated signature ;)). Believe it or not, it is easier to get a shot of this guy than my kids!!

Believe it or not, they aren't even motivated with bribery anymore...My plan is to super chill out over the winter in hopes they may be a bit more tolerant by next spring. If not, I may have to grab a longer lens and work on unique candids. BTW, that sure is a purdy lens you have in the FS section...Hmmmmmmmmm.......:D
