Use the search feature along the toolbar and search the terms "60D shutter count." There are numerous ways, all dependent I on what you are running for a PC.

Try this:

Worked fine with my new 60D. Wanted to make sure the camera was new - none or few shutter activations.

You should have gotten the USB cable with the camera. At least there was one in my box.

I bought it used. I have the cable with the tiny end and and the normal size end that came with my Canon Powershot.

Well the first site would show everything but the shutter count and wanted to charge a fee.

The more recent smartphones often I have a charger that has the correct USB to mini cable. For the phone the cable is intended to unplug from the charger and plug into a USB port in a car. But that same cable will work with the 60D.

My Samsung tablet and my wife's iPad also have a similar arrangement and useable cables.

i installed magic lantern on my 60D. It has a shutter count menu. I was surprised to see around 17000 actuations when my memory card numbering system was showing close to 16000. I think every time you use live view it adds to the shutter counts so i avoid using it as much as i can.

Somebody created and posted a free shutter count app perhaps three days ago or so. I tried it on my 7D and 5DII and it works fine. But you still need a cable.

Opps! Never mind. The app is for Macintosh computers.

I checked my count using magic lantern and i was totally shocked to see it was 56000 ish! I have used the camera for timelapse shooting, and it has really worked the camera hard!

I downloaded the one on this page with the 4-color arrow just above the download button. It worked just fine on my 60D.

This is by far the best most simple way I've tried so far. Its only a $1.79 paypal fee which I didn't mind paying!!!

The usb cable can be found anywhere for a few bucks

Canon 70D/70-200 f4/17-55 2.8/BG-E9/430EZ I like DSLR's. It makes a distinction between photo fans and normal people who don't give a damn how a picture could look like
