nice.... with the 1/8000 i imagine it was too bright that day. or is it because you wanted to used f1.2?

either way it's awesome.

Focus point spot metering is only available for Canon 1D bodies. So your work-around would be to lock exposure aiming the center point at where you'd like to meter, and then recompose.

Thanks Julian. Had a quick go at this, using the back button focus to meter, then locking exposure with the button next to it is quite quick actually. I just need to practice so that it becomes second nature I guess. Everyday is a school day…!

Funny story, I bought a Sigma 35 1.4 and an 85L at the same time. I like and am more impressed with the 35. :D

Great shot! On that same token, I wanted to buy another 24-70L (sold mine a few years ago) but sprung for the 28mm 1.8 instead - that lens is such a camera hog! :lol: I love it.
